... from the verses of The Noble Qur'an
Man We did create from quintessence of clay Then We placed him as [a drop of] sperm in a place of rest, firmly fixed; Then We made the sperm into a clot of congealed blood; then of that clot We made a [foetus] lump; then We made out of that lump bones and clothed the bones with flesh; then We developed out of it another creature. So blessed be God, the Best of Creators!( Qur’an, 23:12-14)
... from the sayings of Prophet Muhammad (pbuh)
Uthman bin 'Affan's (May Allah be pleased with him) said: "He called for ablution water and this is how he performed the ablution. He washed his hands thrice. He then rinsed his mouth and cleaned his nose with water (three times). He then washed his face three times, then washed his right arm up to the elbow three times, then washed his left arm like that, then wiped his head; then washed his right foot up to the ankle three times, then washed his left foot like that”, and then said: “I saw Allah's Messenger (May peace and blessings be upon him) perform ablution like this ablution of mine.” Then Allah's Messenger (May peace and blessings be upon him) said: “He who performs ablution like this ablution of mine and then stood up (for the Prayer) and offered two rak'ahs of the Prayer without allowing his thoughts to be distracted, all his previous sins are expiated."

My next experience was in tenth grade, later that same year when a muslim woman came to our school and explained Islam to us in a two hour lecture. Prior to that, I thought that muslims did not acknowledge Christ. She let us know that Muslims acknowledge Christ but as a prophet (which I know now) and not the son of God.
